Narrative:

I was on a 1/4 mi final to runway 24 in lansing and was previously cleared for a touch-and-go when the tower controller shouted 'small aircraft identify make an immediate right turn.' before I could react, an small transport appeared in my windshield and landed in front of me on runway 24. The small transport overtook me on final approach, flew over the top of me by less than 50 ft, and landed. The small transport was not in contact with lansing tower until it was on the ground or on very short final. The tower controller wasn't aware of the small transport on final until it was too late. The next morning I called lansing tower to get an explanation. I was told the tower controller had an inaccurate data strip and expected the small transport to overfly the airport at 3000 ft. I feel the whole system let me down at the same time.

Narrative: I WAS ON A 1/4 MI FINAL TO RWY 24 IN LANSING AND WAS PREVIOUSLY CLRED FOR A TOUCH-AND-GO WHEN THE TWR CTLR SHOUTED 'SMA IDENT MAKE AN IMMEDIATE R TURN.' BEFORE I COULD REACT, AN SMT APPEARED IN MY WINDSHIELD AND LANDED IN FRONT OF ME ON RWY 24. THE SMT OVERTOOK ME ON FINAL APCH, FLEW OVER THE TOP OF ME BY LESS THAN 50 FT, AND LANDED. THE SMT WAS NOT IN CONTACT WITH LANSING TWR UNTIL IT WAS ON THE GND OR ON VERY SHORT FINAL. THE TWR CTLR WASN'T AWARE OF THE SMT ON FINAL UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED LANSING TWR TO GET AN EXPLANATION. I WAS TOLD THE TWR CTLR HAD AN INACCURATE DATA STRIP AND EXPECTED THE SMT TO OVERFLY THE ARPT AT 3000 FT. I FEEL THE WHOLE SYS LET ME DOWN AT THE SAME TIME.
