Narrative:

We received a RA while cruising at 29000 ft. The approaching aircraft was cleared to 28000 ft and showed 1100 ft underneath us. We followed the climb command when the aircraft showed 1000 ft underneath us. At 29500 ft the approaching aircraft still showed 1000 ft beneath when we acquired visual contact at approximately 3-5 NM. We immediately descended to 29000 ft when clear of the traffic.
