Narrative:

We were landing on 4R and on rollout tower told us to turn left on K and hold short of 4L. As we decelerated we looked for K but only saw the high speed turnoff left. Either the sign for K was too dim to see or the sign was down but whatever the case we ended up on left. Tower said nothing to us and neither did the ground controller. Newark as well as all airports should look at their taxiway signs and see if they are sufficiently illuminated.
