Narrative:

On oct/a/91, after returning from a 90 day military leave of absence, I report to mr. X, a fleet supervisor for air carrier, to schedule a recurrency simulator. I was advised by mr. Y that no simulator was needed for this purpose. On oct/B/91 while performing a 'practice simulation' on my own initiative, I contacted a ms. A of the training department who confirmed that no simulator was needed due to the fact that I was still current. On nov/C/91 I began performing line duties as a flight engineer on the heavy transport. On nov/D/91 mr. Z, a heavy transport fleet manager, informed me I had been improperly performing flight engineer duties as I did not meet the 50 hours in 6 months rule.
