Narrative:

An small aircraft Y and an small aircraft X taxiing on the bravo taxiway. Small aircraft X forward of small aircraft Y approaching hold lines on runway 23. Ground control instructed my small aircraft X to hold short of 23 also instructed small aircraft Y to hold at 23. At hold short lines ground instructs aircraft holding at 23 (my small aircraft X) to cross 23. I began to cross runway 23 via bravo. After I began my taxi and was on runway 23 ground instructed, by north number, for the small aircraft Y to cross 23. They thought my north number belonged to the small aircraft Y and vice versa. They wanted the small aircraft Y to hold, but the small aircraft Y used my north number, so he also crossed. From my perspective, I was cleared to cross, but tower got our aircraft north numbers and field position mixed up. He wanted me to cross and the small aircraft Y to hold. But he cleared me without north number and then he used the small aircraft Y's north number so they also crossed.

Narrative: AN SMA Y AND AN SMA X TAXIING ON THE BRAVO TAXIWAY. SMA X FORWARD OF SMA Y APCHING HOLD LINES ON RWY 23. GND CTL INSTRUCTED MY SMA X TO HOLD SHORT OF 23 ALSO INSTRUCTED SMA Y TO HOLD AT 23. AT HOLD SHORT LINES GND INSTRUCTS ACFT HOLDING AT 23 (MY SMA X) TO CROSS 23. I BEGAN TO CROSS RWY 23 VIA BRAVO. AFTER I BEGAN MY TAXI AND WAS ON RWY 23 GND INSTRUCTED, BY N NUMBER, FOR THE SMA Y TO CROSS 23. THEY THOUGHT MY N NUMBER BELONGED TO THE SMA Y AND VICE VERSA.
