Narrative:
ATC stated we were cleared direct lucin direct to redwood falls. Our computed flight plan read direct llc direct rwf. We entered llc direct and continued. ATC came back we were cleared lucin (lcu) which was not on our flight plan. A 30 degree turn. The error would not have occurred if center had stated we were rerted lucin direct rwf.

Narrative: ATC STATED WE WERE CLRED DIRECT LUCIN DIRECT TO REDWOOD FALLS. OUR COMPUTED FLT PLAN READ DIRECT LLC DIRECT RWF. WE ENTERED LLC DIRECT AND CONTINUED. ATC CAME BACK WE WERE CLRED LUCIN (LCU) WHICH WAS NOT ON OUR FLT PLAN. A 30 DEG TURN. THE ERROR WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED IF CENTER HAD STATED WE WERE RERTED LUCIN DIRECT RWF.
