Narrative:
While in the vicinity of kerrville, tx, at 4500 ft I realized that I could not transmit on my radio. Before entering the san antonio arsa, near boerne, tx, I flew in circles at 3500 ft and attempted to contact san antonio approach on 127.1. I also attempted to contact san angelo FSS on 122.3. I could hear san antonio approach. I just could not transmit. At this point I squawked 7700 on the transponder, mode C, and proceeded into the area with the intention of landing at sat. While circling the aircraft I became lost within the arsa airspace. I also did not squawk 7600 on the transponder which would have indicated loss of radio communications. The airport activated emergency vehicles. I landed safely and spoke to the tower supervisor upon returning to the FBO. I was able to communication on a limited scale with the transponder and by me flashing my landing light. Corrective action: review and be familiar with all emergency procedures.
