Narrative:

Aircraft (heavy transport cargo) was on the taxi line and left wing tip collided with a maintenance stand (scaffold) removing about 18- 24 inches of the left wing tip and causing damage to the maintenance stand. Aircraft was not taxiing fast or reckless. Maintenance stand was much too close to the taxiway, and I thought I could clear it.

Title: TAXI TO CARGO RAMP, L WING HIT MAINT STAND.

Narrative: ACFT (HVT CARGO) WAS ON THE TAXI LINE AND L WING TIP COLLIDED WITH A MAINT STAND (SCAFFOLD) REMOVING ABOUT 18- 24 INCHES OF THE L WING TIP AND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE MAINT STAND. ACFT WAS NOT TAXIING FAST OR RECKLESS. MAINT STAND WAS MUCH TOO CLOSE TO THE TAXIWAY, AND I THOUGHT I COULD CLR IT.
