Narrative:

While inbound on acton arrival at dfw, TCASII had traffic at our 1:30 below us and climbing. We saw the aircraft and ATC pointed him out to us. TCASII went from a TA to an RA 'climb command'. We climbed and called approach control and informed him of our climb. At 500 ft above our cleared altitude (11000 TCASII informed us 'clear of traffic' and we descended back to 11000 MSL. TCASII works but wouldn't it be more affective if we could flag visually idented traffic and take them out of the TCASII RA mode -- just give TA's on these targets.
