Narrative:

On final approach upon extending the landing gear there was initially no indication of 3 green (down and locked). We initiated a go around and stayed in the pattern and tested the light and had got all indications that gear was down and locked so we returned for landing and since there was not a discrepancy existing. As to the operation of the gear, I did not feel it was necessary to make an entry in the logbook. However, immediately upon returning to home base I notified the maintenance supervisor.
