Narrative:

On initial power application for takeoff, there was a very brief and mild compressor stall on the #2 engine (fairly common on the large transport during a crosswind takeoff. There was about 15 KTS of direct crosswind). The plane was barely moving when this occurred. To be on the safe side, we taxied off the runway to examine the engine instruments and aircraft system. There was no abnormality, and we taxied back for an uneventful takeoff and flight.
