Narrative:
My clearance called for a climb to 2300 MSL after takeoff. A heading of 280 degree was given to me to turn to after takeoff. I took off and at 500 AGL turned left to a heading of 280 degree. While I was making my climbing turn I noticed a flash across my nose. Sheppard AFB is a training base for the air force and there are always a number of mtrs buzzing all around. The flash was an MTR which I thought was a little closer than it should have been. With this distraction, and while looking for more mtrs, I flew right through 2300 ft to 2550. From the time of takeoff to 2550 I had to turn 70 degree left, reset the transponder and look for very fast moving traffic. I wasn't very familiar with their procedures at this airport or the departure route. The WX was VMC and had little to do with the occurrence. I believe that lack of attention to my altitude caused the incursion. Other than me as the pilot paying more attention to my altitude I feel that some military pilots flying high speed aircraft could keep a little more distant from slower civil aircraft and air traffic controllers at these bases could help them do this. I feel I am responsible for my mistake and will try to prevent it in the future.

Title: PLT OF SMA TWIN COMPLAINS OF INADEQUATE SEPARATION PRACTICES AT MIL TRAINING ARPT AND SUFFERS AN ALT BUST AFTER SIGHTED TFC PASSED BY.
Narrative: MY CLRNC CALLED FOR A CLB TO 2300 MSL AFTER TKOF. A HDG OF 280 DEG WAS GIVEN TO ME TO TURN TO AFTER TKOF. I TOOK OFF AND AT 500 AGL TURNED L TO A HDG OF 280 DEG. WHILE I WAS MAKING MY CLBING TURN I NOTICED A FLASH ACROSS MY NOSE. SHEPPARD AFB IS A TRAINING BASE FOR THE AIR FORCE AND THERE ARE ALWAYS A NUMBER OF MTRS BUZZING ALL AROUND. THE FLASH WAS AN MTR WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A LITTLE CLOSER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. WITH THIS DISTR, AND WHILE LOOKING FOR MORE MTRS, I FLEW RIGHT THROUGH 2300 FT TO 2550. FROM THE TIME OF TKOF TO 2550 I HAD TO TURN 70 DEG L, RESET THE TRANSPONDER AND LOOK FOR VERY FAST MOVING TFC. I WASN'T VERY FAMILIAR WITH THEIR PROCS AT THIS ARPT OR THE DEP RTE. THE WX WAS VMC AND HAD LITTLE TO DO WITH THE OCCURRENCE. I BELIEVE THAT LACK OF ATTN TO MY ALT CAUSED THE INCURSION. OTHER THAN ME AS THE PLT PAYING MORE ATTN TO MY ALT I FEEL THAT SOME MIL PLTS FLYING HIGH SPD ACFT COULD KEEP A LITTLE MORE DISTANT FROM SLOWER CIVIL ACFT AND AIR TFC CTLRS AT THESE BASES COULD HELP THEM DO THIS. I FEEL I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MY MISTAKE AND WILL TRY TO PREVENT IT IN THE FUTURE.
