Narrative:

We took off from tyler, tx, (pounds field) on runway 22. Runway 22 intersects with runway 13, which is closed, about 2000 ft down the runway. At the intersection of 2 and 13, runway 22 has a great 'hump' in it. Then when you pass over the 'hump' and are on the downhill side of it, doing about 100 KIAS or more, you encounter a ridge in the runway. That ridge is the result of construction done to a cable or something underneath runway 22. The ridge runs from the left side of the runway to the right side and is made of black tar. (Looks like!) it's a mess and very dangerous. Passing over the 'hump' and then hitting that ridge threw my cup of icewater out of it's holder into my lap. I almost lost control of the nosewheel tiller. The whole airplane shook. Upon landing in dfw, we had a severe nosewheel vibration and had maintenance come out to fix it. I know that tyler runway damaged the nose gear. I even told the tyler tower after takeoff how bad that intersection is. They did not seem to care! Even the cabin attendant wanted to know what we hit! Please let them know. I'll never use runway 22 again. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Callback conducted to see if reporter was aware of any repair or improvement to the 'hump' in the runway. The reporter stated that he was not aware of any change at tyr. The reporter also noted that he had previously filed an ASRS report, but this incident was subsequent to that filing.

Title: COMMUTER LTT FLC DAMAGES NOSE GEAR AND ALMOST LOSES CTL UPON HITTING A 'HUMP' WHILE ON TKOF. HUMP IS AT THE INTXN OF RWY 22 AND RWY 13.

Narrative: WE TOOK OFF FROM TYLER, TX, (POUNDS FIELD) ON RWY 22. RWY 22 INTERSECTS WITH RWY 13, WHICH IS CLOSED, ABOUT 2000 FT DOWN THE RWY. AT THE INTXN OF 2 AND 13, RWY 22 HAS A GREAT 'HUMP' IN IT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. CALLBACK CONDUCTED TO SEE IF RPTR WAS AWARE OF ANY REPAIR OR IMPROVEMENT TO THE 'HUMP' IN THE RWY. THE RPTR STATED THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY CHANGE AT TYR. THE RPTR ALSO NOTED THAT HE HAD PREVIOUSLY FILED AN ASRS RPT, BUT THIS INCIDENT WAS SUBSEQUENT TO THAT FILING.
