Narrative:

No ATC warnings about oncoming aircraft. In fact, controller said he didn't have him on his scope. Full evasive action (climb, right turn to 9200' MSL) resulted from a full RA on TCAS system. TCAS system on and fully used, beginning with TA through clear of conflict.
