Narrative:

Flight iad-den high oil temperature on the #1 engine due to the associated #1 fuel heat valve stuck open. Engine was shut down in accordance with checklist and flight manual. Flight was to continue to den. After WX was checked and consulting with maintenance and dispatch, the flight was diverted to cle for repairs, and due to WX changes in the den. As a precaution, an emergency was declared for the landing in cle and the equipment was called out. A normal landing was made.

Title: ACR LGT INFLT ENGINE SHUTDOWN DUE TO HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE. DIVERTED TO ALTERNATE.

Narrative: FLT IAD-DEN HIGH OIL TEMP ON THE #1 ENG DUE TO THE ASSOCIATED #1 FUEL HEAT VALVE STUCK OPEN. ENG WAS SHUT DOWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHECKLIST AND FLT MANUAL. FLT WAS TO CONTINUE TO DEN. AFTER WX WAS CHKED AND CONSULTING WITH MAINT AND DISPATCH, THE FLT WAS DIVERTED TO CLE FOR REPAIRS, AND DUE TO WX CHANGES IN THE DEN. AS A PRECAUTION, AN EMER WAS DECLARED FOR THE LNDG IN CLE AND THE EQUIP WAS CALLED OUT. A NORMAL LNDG WAS MADE.
