Narrative:

On final got winds 15/G35, but angle was ok for landing. On final between 300 and 150', got increase in airspeed from 140 to 160 KTS. Called to captain who kept power on. Airspeed settled at 150 KTS (bug was 130 KTS). Went ahead and landed. Tower called gust to 42 KTS either in the flare or just after landing. Though we landed ok the 42 KT gust would have been out of limits. At T/D the crosswind was stiff, but not unmanageable. However, timely reporting might have made us go around. Need doppler wind shear equipment for tower. We did not get any wind shear alert from the aircraft system.
