Narrative:

While flying a visibility approach to runway 11R at msp, I inadvertently drifted through the localizer and may have encroached on runway 11L airspace. The events leading to this were many. I had been flying a full duty day and the aircraft pressurization and a/C were not working (MEL'd). The WX was hot, humid, and was producing thunderstorms along all of the leg rtes during the day. In short I was hot and tired and on the last leg of the day. There was also some confusion between approach controller and the tower controller. When I was with approach I said there was traffic Y at 11:30 descending for runway 11L and that I was cleared for a visibility runway 11R. Before he switched me to tower he asked me to confirm the visibility contact with the aircraft Y ahead, I said negative contact. I went to tower and told him I had just acquired contact with the aircraft Y ahead, he said cleared to land #2 behind the aircraft. I was tired and failed to query if the aircraft Y had been switched to runway 11R. I began to line up behind the aircraft ahead when I and tower simultaneously realized I was going for runway 11L. I immediately corrected to the right and landed on runway 11R. The other aircraft continued and landed on runway 11L. The problem resulted when the tower told me to follow the other aircraft Y and I failed to query this instruction.

Title: ATX ACFT ATTEMPTS LINE UP WITH PARALLEL RWY AT MSP.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING A VIS APCH TO RWY 11R AT MSP, I INADVERTENTLY DRIFTED THROUGH THE LOC AND MAY HAVE ENCROACHED ON RWY 11L AIRSPACE. THE EVENTS LEADING TO THIS WERE MANY. I HAD BEEN FLYING A FULL DUTY DAY AND THE ACFT PRESSURIZATION AND A/C WERE NOT WORKING (MEL'D). THE WX WAS HOT, HUMID, AND WAS PRODUCING TSTMS ALONG ALL OF THE LEG RTES DURING THE DAY. IN SHORT I WAS HOT AND TIRED AND ON THE LAST LEG OF THE DAY. THERE WAS ALSO SOME CONFUSION BTWN APCH CTLR AND THE TWR CTLR. WHEN I WAS WITH APCH I SAID THERE WAS TFC Y AT 11:30 DSNDING FOR RWY 11L AND THAT I WAS CLRED FOR A VIS RWY 11R. BEFORE HE SWITCHED ME TO TWR HE ASKED ME TO CONFIRM THE VIS CONTACT WITH THE ACFT Y AHEAD, I SAID NEGATIVE CONTACT. I WENT TO TWR AND TOLD HIM I HAD JUST ACQUIRED CONTACT WITH THE ACFT Y AHEAD, HE SAID CLRED TO LAND #2 BEHIND THE ACFT. I WAS TIRED AND FAILED TO QUERY IF THE ACFT Y HAD BEEN SWITCHED TO RWY 11R. I BEGAN TO LINE UP BEHIND THE ACFT AHEAD WHEN I AND TWR SIMULTANEOUSLY REALIZED I WAS GOING FOR RWY 11L. I IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED TO THE R AND LANDED ON RWY 11R. THE OTHER ACFT CONTINUED AND LANDED ON RWY 11L. THE PROB RESULTED WHEN THE TWR TOLD ME TO FOLLOW THE OTHER ACFT Y AND I FAILED TO QUERY THIS INSTRUCTION.
