Narrative:
We were cleared to descent to 5000' and to slow down from 250 to 210 KTS at the same time. Also, we were advised about traffic 2-3 O'clock, which we did not see. Then at 6200' the controller gave us a 'traffic alert' and we saw the traffic too close for safety!

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED TO DSNT TO 5000' AND TO SLOW DOWN FROM 250 TO 210 KTS AT THE SAME TIME. ALSO, WE WERE ADVISED ABOUT TFC 2-3 O'CLOCK, WHICH WE DID NOT SEE. THEN AT 6200' THE CTLR GAVE US A 'TFC ALERT' AND WE SAW THE TFC TOO CLOSE FOR SAFETY!
