Narrative:

Climbing out of ZZZ en route to ZZZ1. We received an ACARS message from dispatch. 'Ops agent did not let us know until now. There is hazmat onboard in bin a and it is 1 aed lithium battery 7 pounds'. We did not have hazmat paperwork on board for the battery. We acknowledged the message and asked dispatch if they informed ZZZ1. They said they were informing them at this time. We continued to ZZZ1; with no further issues.
