Narrative:

I was working sector 66 when I cleared 3 aircraft direct ormond beach from over chs. This clearance put all 3 aircraft in the warning areas W134 W157, which were active surface to FL430. When the aircraft were approximately 100 mi south of charleston, I was questioned by milfac control about the deviation. When questioned I advised the controller that I hadn't been briefed about the use of the airspace which is normally returned to my sector late at night. Clrncs were issued to all 3 aircraft to exit the warning areas and they proceeded safely to their destination west/O further incident. I then called and spoke directly to the supervisor at milfac and apologized for the mistake. She advised me that there were carrier operations off the coast and was unable to separate any traffic. I believe that there were no aircraft that came anywhere near the air carrier's I was working. Milfac normally sterilizes large portions of their airspace when such operations are in effect, and at no time did I observe any codes or primary targets conflicting with my aircraft. Contributing factors to this deviation were: incomplete relief briefing. I was not told of the activity or the use of the warning areas. I assumed that the warnings areas were not in use as they usually aren't after XY00. Before clearing the aircraft direct ormond beach, I should have checked the status board.

Title: ARTCC RADAR CTLR CLEARED 3 ACFT INTO HOT WARNING AREA WITHOUT COORD. THOUGHT AIRSPACE WAS HIS.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING SECTOR 66 WHEN I CLRED 3 ACFT DIRECT ORMOND BEACH FROM OVER CHS. THIS CLRNC PUT ALL 3 ACFT IN THE WARNING AREAS W134 W157, WHICH WERE ACTIVE SURFACE TO FL430. WHEN THE ACFT WERE APPROX 100 MI S OF CHARLESTON, I WAS QUESTIONED BY MILFAC CTL ABOUT THE DEVIATION. WHEN QUESTIONED I ADVISED THE CTLR THAT I HADN'T BEEN BRIEFED ABOUT THE USE OF THE AIRSPACE WHICH IS NORMALLY RETURNED TO MY SECTOR LATE AT NIGHT. CLRNCS WERE ISSUED TO ALL 3 ACFT TO EXIT THE WARNING AREAS AND THEY PROCEEDED SAFELY TO THEIR DEST W/O FURTHER INCIDENT. I THEN CALLED AND SPOKE DIRECTLY TO THE SUPVR AT MILFAC AND APOLOGIZED FOR THE MISTAKE. SHE ADVISED ME THAT THERE WERE CARRIER OPS OFF THE COAST AND WAS UNABLE TO SEPARATE ANY TFC. I BELIEVE THAT THERE WERE NO ACFT THAT CAME ANYWHERE NEAR THE ACR'S I WAS WORKING. MILFAC NORMALLY STERILIZES LARGE PORTIONS OF THEIR AIRSPACE WHEN SUCH OPS ARE IN EFFECT, AND AT NO TIME DID I OBSERVE ANY CODES OR PRIMARY TARGETS CONFLICTING WITH MY ACFT. BEFORE CLRING THE ACFT DIRECT ORMOND BEACH, I SHOULD HAVE CHKED THE STATUS BOARD.
