Narrative:

Inside budde on approach into bur for runway 8. At 2;400 feet; tower called traffic below us 3 o'clock. We saw the traffic on box at 3 moving toward 4 o'clock at 400-500 feet below. Got aural warning RA to climb. Told tower about the RA. We saw we were clear of conflict and safe and stable to continue. Target was now at 5 o'clock behind. Tower asked if we need to do a go-around or ok to continue. We advised ok to continue. Lessons: keep awareness sharp when traffic calls from ATC or on box; especially around vny area. There are many GA targets in this traffic pattern so this is an ongoing threat to us.
