Narrative:

We knew from the ATIS that burlington vt, airport taxiway 'K' was notamed closed to all aircraft over 68000 pounds gross weight but we could not find taxiway 'K' at all on our (current) commercial charts for the airport. While taxiing to runway 33 for takeoff we used taxiway 'C' so as to use the full length of runway 33 for takeoff. The taxiway we used was not marked or labeled at either end but I now believe it to be taxiway 'K'. While this incident wasn't particularly serious, these txwys must be labeled and shown on the commercial charts so that more serious incidents don't happen. We can't navigate on the txwys with confidence west/O clear markings and accurate charts. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Called procedure specialist in tower. Taxiway K is a new taxiway, only about one yr old. There is no taxiway markings to indicate that it is taxiway K or any weight restrictions. Since reporter submitted the report, commercial chart maker has included it on the airport diagram. The new airport diagram is only two weeks old. There are no indications on the NOAA chart. The tower does stipulate the restriction on the ATIS, but states that this is not an uncommon practice by pilots. Airport management is suppose to be working with the FAA to get a sign up.

Title: ACR REPORTER TAXIED ONTO THE WRONG TXWY. STATES THERE ARE NO SIGNS TO DIRECT PLT.

Narrative: WE KNEW FROM THE ATIS THAT BURLINGTON VT, ARPT TXWY 'K' WAS NOTAMED CLOSED TO ALL ACFT OVER 68000 LBS GROSS WT BUT WE COULD NOT FIND TXWY 'K' AT ALL ON OUR (CURRENT) COMMERCIAL CHARTS FOR THE ARPT. WHILE TAXIING TO RWY 33 FOR TKOF WE USED TXWY 'C' SO AS TO USE THE FULL LENGTH OF RWY 33 FOR TKOF. THE TXWY WE USED WAS NOT MARKED OR LABELED AT EITHER END BUT I NOW BELIEVE IT TO BE TXWY 'K'. WHILE THIS INCIDENT WASN'T PARTICULARLY SERIOUS, THESE TXWYS MUST BE LABELED AND SHOWN ON THE COMMERCIAL CHARTS SO THAT MORE SERIOUS INCIDENTS DON'T HAPPEN. WE CAN'T NAVIGATE ON THE TXWYS WITH CONFIDENCE W/O CLR MARKINGS AND ACCURATE CHARTS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. CALLED PROC SPECIALIST IN TWR. TXWY K IS A NEW TXWY, ONLY ABOUT ONE YR OLD. THERE IS NO TXWY MARKINGS TO INDICATE THAT IT IS TXWY K OR ANY WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS. SINCE RPTR SUBMITTED THE RPT, COMMERCIAL CHART MAKER HAS INCLUDED IT ON THE ARPT DIAGRAM. THE NEW ARPT DIAGRAM IS ONLY TWO WKS OLD. THERE ARE NO INDICATIONS ON THE NOAA CHART. THE TWR DOES STIPULATE THE RESTRICTION ON THE ATIS, BUT STATES THAT THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PRACTICE BY PLTS. ARPT MGMNT IS SUPPOSE TO BE WORKING WITH THE FAA TO GET A SIGN UP.
