Narrative:

Cvg, runway 18L. Pushback taxi, before takeoff normal. Initial takeoff roll, aircraft rolled over bump and aft cabin door light flickered on and off twice and then remained on. I initiated an abort. The speed was less than 60 KIAS. The control tower was notified and aircraft brought under control and exited the runway. After clearing the runway, we asked the F/a's to push the aft cabin door handle down. The aft cabin door light then extinguished. The F/a stated the door handle was up slightly. Based upon this information and after referring to the MEL and pilot's operating manual I elected to continue the flight to destination. At destination, I told a mechanic about the abort. The mechanic took upon himself to check the door. He said the door was working normally. Based upon this incident I would like to see the FAA clarify the far's concerning aircraft log book entries after aborts.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG ABORTED TKOF BECAUSE OF A DOOR WARNING LIGHT. DID NOT MAKE LOG BOOK ENTRY.

Narrative: CVG, RWY 18L. PUSHBACK TAXI, BEFORE TKOF NORMAL. INITIAL TKOF ROLL, ACFT ROLLED OVER BUMP AND AFT CABIN DOOR LIGHT FLICKERED ON AND OFF TWICE AND THEN REMAINED ON. I INITIATED AN ABORT. THE SPD WAS LESS THAN 60 KIAS. THE CTL TWR WAS NOTIFIED AND ACFT BROUGHT UNDER CTL AND EXITED THE RWY. AFTER CLRING THE RWY, WE ASKED THE F/A'S TO PUSH THE AFT CABIN DOOR HANDLE DOWN. THE AFT CABIN DOOR LIGHT THEN EXTINGUISHED. THE F/A STATED THE DOOR HANDLE WAS UP SLIGHTLY. BASED UPON THIS INFO AND AFTER REFERRING TO THE MEL AND PLT'S OPERATING MANUAL I ELECTED TO CONTINUE THE FLT TO DEST. AT DEST, I TOLD A MECH ABOUT THE ABORT. THE MECH TOOK UPON HIMSELF TO CHK THE DOOR. HE SAID THE DOOR WAS WORKING NORMALLY. BASED UPON THIS INCIDENT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE FAA CLARIFY THE FAR'S CONCERNING ACFT LOG BOOK ENTRIES AFTER ABORTS.
