Narrative:
We were getting vectors for the visual app 24R; we were assigned to slow down; and right after we were established on the localizer we encountered the wake turbulence at 2;800 feet before final approach fix; then ATC said that we had a traffic 2.5 nm ahead.

Title: EMB-175 First Officer reported encountering wake turbulence 2.5 miles in trail of traffic on approach to 24R at LAX.
Narrative: We were getting vectors for the visual app 24R; we were assigned to slow down; and right after we were established on the LOC we encountered the wake turbulence at 2;800 feet before final approach fix; then ATC said that we had a traffic 2.5 nm ahead.
