Narrative:

Xferred radio contact from psp approach control to tower when at approximately 3500' descending to 2500' along highway 10. CTAF informed me of an medium large transport on takeoff, and I informed tower of 'target in sight.' at about 1000' AGL, medium large transport began an abrupt right turn for runway heading (runway 30). As his bow passed across my position, I informed tower that he was 'aimed right at me.' at the same time I began an evasive turn toward the airport and increased power to avoid his wing vortices. While the medium large transport was turning, tower announced that the medium large transport stop his turn (or words to that effect); however, the medium large transport fortunately continued the turn such that we passed each other flying parallel in opp directions. After passing the medium large transport, I turned back to the original heading to reacquire highway 10.

Title: SMA AND MLG HAVE CONFLICT IN PSP TRSA.

Narrative: XFERRED RADIO CONTACT FROM PSP APCH CTL TO TWR WHEN AT APPROX 3500' DSNDING TO 2500' ALONG HWY 10. CTAF INFORMED ME OF AN MLG ON TKOF, AND I INFORMED TWR OF 'TARGET IN SIGHT.' AT ABOUT 1000' AGL, MLG BEGAN AN ABRUPT RIGHT TURN FOR RWY HDG (RWY 30). AS HIS BOW PASSED ACROSS MY POS, I INFORMED TWR THAT HE WAS 'AIMED RIGHT AT ME.' AT THE SAME TIME I BEGAN AN EVASIVE TURN TOWARD THE ARPT AND INCREASED PWR TO AVOID HIS WING VORTICES. WHILE THE MLG WAS TURNING, TWR ANNOUNCED THAT THE MLG STOP HIS TURN (OR WORDS TO THAT EFFECT); HOWEVER, THE MLG FORTUNATELY CONTINUED THE TURN SUCH THAT WE PASSED EACH OTHER FLYING PARALLEL IN OPP DIRECTIONS. AFTER PASSING THE MLG, I TURNED BACK TO THE ORIGINAL HDG TO REACQUIRE HWY 10.
