Narrative:

After being cleared for ILS approach, at some time we lost communication with approach control. At approximately 4 mi under the impression that everything was normal (we had been hearing other communication on the frequency), we called and asked if we should 'go tower frequency.' getting no answer, we switched to tower, received landing clearance and landed. We were then informed there had been a traffic conflict and that numerous calls had been made to us to no avail. Our radio checked ok. Suspect controller was transmitting on wrong frequency or not at all.
