Narrative:

After the coffee pot leaked; a flight attendant reported a burning like smell from around the forward oven. No smoke or fumes. Smell stopped after they turned the oven off. We were about 15 to 20 minutes from descent. During a bathroom break both me and the first officer did not smell or see anything wrong. No circuit breakers popped either. Since there was no smoke or fumes; the odor stopped; and we were a few minutes from descent I elected to continue with a normal descent and landing. I concluded it was most likely due to the excessive leak from the coffee maker. I contacted dispatch with a message in the air; and once parked I wrote the oven smell up in the maintenance log to have maintenance do an inspection.
