Narrative:
Flying from thermal direct to lgb with riverside departure, after passing the paradise VOR on the way to fullerton, I was never passed off. Needing to descend before reaching fullerton, I called up riverside departure and then lost all radio communication. Descending down to 4500' to go under lax TCA I tried to call up coast approach, but everything was silent. The WX was haze and smog. Soon after finding my location on the terminal area chart I was over the 605 and 91 freeway in lgb's control zone with no radio communication. After doing 2 360 degree turns I replaced the fuse and received permission to land at lgb on 25R.
