Narrative:

This was the student's first time flying traffic pattern operations. The student was continually keeping the nose high during the base to final turn. During the third approach for touch and go I looked up and saw how low the airspeed was and I said to my student, 'airspeed.' next thing I knew we turned to the left and started a spiraling dive which began 500' AGL. I took the controls and recovered the aircraft at 50' AGL.
