Narrative:
While working sector 26, the pilot of an small transport X called on frequency to request VFR flight following to aspen, co. I radar idented the aircraft 35 NM southwest of denver at 16500'. I issued traffic advisory to the pilot, as air carrier small transport Y was approaching byson intersection leaving 17500' descending to 16000'. I then issued traffic advisory to small transport Y. Both aircraft said, 'searching'. I then got busy with other IFR traffic, and got back to small transport Y to issue one more time, '12:30, 1 mi, right to left, at 16500'.' small transport Y said, 'got him'. About 30 seconds later, the small transport X pilot called to report the near mid-air, saying 'I was in a 90 degree bank, and could read his numbers.' although I have no requirement to do so, I should have stopped the small transport Y at 17000' until he saw the small transport X at 16500'. I also was working alone. Had I had assistance on the sector, I could have issued advisory information to both pilots a second time.

Title: ACR-SMT AND VFR GA-SMT GIVEN TRAFFIC ADVISORY BY ARTCC CTLR AND STILL HAD NMAC.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING SECTOR 26, THE PLT OF AN SMT X CALLED ON FREQ TO REQUEST VFR FLT FOLLOWING TO ASPEN, CO. I RADAR IDENTED THE ACFT 35 NM SW OF DENVER AT 16500'. I ISSUED TFC ADVISORY TO THE PLT, AS ACR SMT Y WAS APCHING BYSON INTXN LEAVING 17500' DSNDING TO 16000'. I THEN ISSUED TFC ADVISORY TO SMT Y. BOTH ACFT SAID, 'SEARCHING'. I THEN GOT BUSY WITH OTHER IFR TFC, AND GOT BACK TO SMT Y TO ISSUE ONE MORE TIME, '12:30, 1 MI, R TO L, AT 16500'.' SMT Y SAID, 'GOT HIM'. ABOUT 30 SECS LATER, THE SMT X PLT CALLED TO RPT THE NEAR MID-AIR, SAYING 'I WAS IN A 90 DEG BANK, AND COULD READ HIS NUMBERS.' ALTHOUGH I HAVE NO REQUIREMENT TO DO SO, I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED THE SMT Y AT 17000' UNTIL HE SAW THE SMT X AT 16500'. I ALSO WAS WORKING ALONE. HAD I HAD ASSISTANCE ON THE SECTOR, I COULD HAVE ISSUED ADVISORY INFO TO BOTH PLTS A SEC TIME.
