Narrative:
While taxiing out to depart on runway 09 at bos we were switched to tower. Tower said we were going the wrong way and said we said runway heading. For runway 04L, it was a right turn to 090 degrees after 4 mi. It was late, plus ground and tower evidently were not in sync on which runway we were cleared to. We were told to expedite our taxi and departure. This contributed to the situation which caused us to misread the SID.

Title: FLT CREW CLEARED TAXI TO RWY 9. REVIEWED SID FOR RWY 9. SWITCHED TO RWY 4 FOR TKOF. FLT CREW NEGLECTED TO REVIEW SID FOR RWY 4 UNTIL DEP CTLR INTERVENED AT APPROX 6 MILES AFTER TKOF.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT TO DEPART ON RWY 09 AT BOS WE WERE SWITCHED TO TWR. TWR SAID WE WERE GOING THE WRONG WAY AND SAID WE SAID RWY HDG. FOR RWY 04L, IT WAS A RIGHT TURN TO 090 DEGS AFTER 4 MI. IT WAS LATE, PLUS GND AND TWR EVIDENTLY WERE NOT IN SYNC ON WHICH RWY WE WERE CLRED TO. WE WERE TOLD TO EXPEDITE OUR TAXI AND DEP. THIS CONTRIBUTED TO THE SITUATION WHICH CAUSED US TO MISREAD THE SID.
