Narrative:

I left ft worth meacham to practice touch and go's at luck airport (visibility 5 mi and the ceiling 2200' overcast). There are 3 runways very close to the area of spinks airport. 1 of them is a closed runway northwest of spinks airport. I mistakenly practiced touch and go's on the closed runway, thinking it was luck. I made 3 touch and go's before I realized that something was wrong. I was making left traffic and talking on the luck unicom frequency (122.8) at the luck traffic pattern altitude of 1800'. Evasive action was not required. Total time of the flight was 1 hour and 12 mins. I practiced several touch and go's at ft worth meacham after returning. I believe that this happened due to the close proximity of the 3 airports. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter states that the closed runway does not show on the chart. Other indications were there and he should have seen them--no excuses.

Title: SMA PLT ON TRAINING FLT DOES TOUCH AND GO'S ON CLOSED RWY.

Narrative: I LEFT FT WORTH MEACHAM TO PRACTICE TOUCH AND GO'S AT LUCK ARPT (VISIBILITY 5 MI AND THE CEILING 2200' OVCST). THERE ARE 3 RWYS VERY CLOSE TO THE AREA OF SPINKS ARPT. 1 OF THEM IS A CLOSED RWY NW OF SPINKS ARPT. I MISTAKENLY PRACTICED TOUCH AND GO'S ON THE CLOSED RWY, THINKING IT WAS LUCK. I MADE 3 TOUCH AND GO'S BEFORE I REALIZED THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. I WAS MAKING LEFT TFC AND TALKING ON THE LUCK UNICOM FREQ (122.8) AT THE LUCK TFC PATTERN ALT OF 1800'. EVASIVE ACTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. TOTAL TIME OF THE FLT WAS 1 HR AND 12 MINS. I PRACTICED SEVERAL TOUCH AND GO'S AT FT WORTH MEACHAM AFTER RETURNING. I BELIEVE THAT THIS HAPPENED DUE TO THE CLOSE PROX OF THE 3 ARPTS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR STATES THAT THE CLOSED RWY DOES NOT SHOW ON THE CHART. OTHER INDICATIONS WERE THERE AND HE SHOULD HAVE SEEN THEM--NO EXCUSES.
