Narrative:
Quick notice from tokyo center--change of routing. Original flight plan: spn-potts-A337-adkak-sns-mtn-MTN1-nrt. After nogak we were reclred direct bipep-swellfish-sns-flight plan route. Used far east high low 5-6 chart to verify and load coordinates for bipep 3523.on/14315.0E. Once in radar contact, tokyo center asked us to verify position. After some confusion we rechked bipep coordinates on far east ch/L7, which indicated 3323.on/14315.oe. Both charts dated 12/12/90 which mirror the mistake on the previous charts. Callback conversation with chart maker revealed the following: new far east high/low 6 and 7 charts were effective on 1/9/91 and show the correct coordinates for bipep. Also talked to NOAA. These charts are the responsibility of the defense mapping agency in stl. Chart 6 was in error and has since been corrected.
