Narrative:

#2 pneumatic system was placarded inoperative by lga maintenance before departure, and all #2 failure detection systems were deactivated. During latter part of climb pressure was noted on #2 system. Tulsa tech was consulted and a decision was made to divert to closest suitable airport. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: closest airport was bna. Flight was cancelled and the aircraft Y ferried unpressurized to dfw. No information from company why the system was showing 13# of pressure.

Narrative: #2 PNEUMATIC SYS WAS PLACARDED INOP BY LGA MAINT BEFORE DEP, AND ALL #2 FAILURE DETECTION SYSTEMS WERE DEACTIVATED. DURING LATTER PART OF CLB PRESSURE WAS NOTED ON #2 SYS.
