Narrative:

Assigned altitude, 10000'. At 9700', TCAS issued traffic advisory. At same time departure control issued a turn to 360 degree heading and frequency change. TCAS verbal advisory set too loud to understand instructions on radio. Distracted, I let aircraft climb to 10400' before returning to 10000' assigned altitude.
