Narrative:

Upon arrival to ZZZ exited runway xxl onto taxiway bravo to the assigned gate. While taxiing around intersections bravo and alpha X; we both observed the vehicles on each side of the intersections stopped except one of them. One service vehicle was approaching the intersection at a high speed; it seemed to slow down and initially stopped as we continue to taxi. Suddenly; the vehicle from our right continue his path across the service road and in front of us without acknowledging we were taxiing. Immediately; the captain reacted quickly to make an immediate stop to avoid a collision with this food service vehicle. The incident were reported to ZZZ ground control. We stayed at our current position to check for any injuries in the passenger cabin and in addition; the captain made an announcement to the passengers to informed the situation. After assessing the situation and determine it was safe to move again; we observed the driver of this vehicle driving abnormally around near planes and gates on the south port of the terminal. Wreckless driving on service road by one of the company's food service trucks which was unable to stop and stayed at his current position; instead proceeding across to the interception and not yield to the planes which has the right of way. Distraction or careless could be a factor on his part that led to an evasive action by the crew. We immediately reported the incident to ground control which seems unable to track and contact vehicles on their service roads at the airport. It is imperative that everyone follow rules for a safe operation on the airfield and actions must be taken to avoid situations like this ones.
