Narrative:

We were advised that there would be an hour and half (1 1/2) gate hold our normal departure time was xu:50 local. At about xv:30 local clearance advised us to be ready for a departure with a wheels up time of xw:03 local. At xv:45 we were asked by clearance if we could make a xv:53 wheels up. We said we could. We pushed quickly and started the engines we were cleared to taxi to runway 28L. We began our taxi. We accomplished all checklist. Approaching the runway we were cleared for takeoff runway 23. We taxied onto runway 23 did the before takeoff checklist and began the takeoff roll. The captain was PF. Tower advised us 'stop takeoff roll, stop takeoff roll.' we aborted the takeoff. I told the passengers to remain seated. The tower told us to taxi back to runway 28L for departure. We performed all checklist including rejected takeoff. Advised the passengers everything was ok. We departed runway 28L west/O incident. As a crew we did not realize we were on the wrong runway nor did the tower. The change in departure time and everybodys effort to get out on time including tower assistance in getting us out contributed to the problem. Supplemental information from acn 163985. Evidently we had been originally cleared for takeoff on runway 28L, not 23. Captain had only heard first officer readback clearance and did not hear tower issue takeoff clearance.

Title: LGT BEGAN TKOF ON VERY SHORT RWY IN ERROR AT CMH.

Narrative: WE WERE ADVISED THAT THERE WOULD BE AN HOUR AND HALF (1 1/2) GATE HOLD OUR NORMAL DEP TIME WAS XU:50 LCL. AT ABOUT XV:30 LCL CLRNC ADVISED US TO BE READY FOR A DEP WITH A WHEELS UP TIME OF XW:03 LCL. AT XV:45 WE WERE ASKED BY CLRNC IF WE COULD MAKE A XV:53 WHEELS UP. WE SAID WE COULD. WE PUSHED QUICKLY AND STARTED THE ENGS WE WERE CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 28L. WE BEGAN OUR TAXI. WE ACCOMPLISHED ALL CHKLIST. APCHING THE RWY WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 23. WE TAXIED ONTO RWY 23 DID THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST AND BEGAN THE TKOF ROLL. THE CAPT WAS PF. TWR ADVISED US 'STOP TKOF ROLL, STOP TKOF ROLL.' WE ABORTED THE TKOF. I TOLD THE PAXS TO REMAIN SEATED. THE TWR TOLD US TO TAXI BACK TO RWY 28L FOR DEP. WE PERFORMED ALL CHKLIST INCLUDING REJECTED TKOF. ADVISED THE PAXS EVERYTHING WAS OK. WE DEPARTED RWY 28L W/O INCIDENT. AS A CREW WE DID NOT REALIZE WE WERE ON THE WRONG RWY NOR DID THE TWR. THE CHANGE IN DEP TIME AND EVERYBODYS EFFORT TO GET OUT ON TIME INCLUDING TWR ASSISTANCE IN GETTING US OUT CONTRIBUTED TO THE PROB. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 163985. EVIDENTLY WE HAD BEEN ORIGINALLY CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 28L, NOT 23. CAPT HAD ONLY HEARD F/O READBACK CLRNC AND DID NOT HEAR TWR ISSUE TKOF CLRNC.
