Narrative:

Cleared the LDORA2 RNAV to den. Arrival and runway 35L programmed and briefed. Initial approach controller gave us runway 34R. First officer asked if 35L was available and the reply was no due to traffic. We reprogrammed [runway] 34R and briefed. Then; we switched to the final controller and were given an altitude and heading change. Controller asked if we would like runway 35L. We replied yes and reprogrammed the FMC for landing [runway] 35L. The previous altitude left us high and the controller asked if we would like vectors to the east. We accepted vectors so we could get back on profile. We were then cleared to intercept the localizer. We intercepted the localizer for [runway] 35L. We were then in VMC conditions and controller asked if we had runway in sight. We were established on the localizer 35L and replied yes. The controller then replied cleared for the visual 34R. The first officer asked the controller if they meant [runway] 35L. Controller replied that they didn't hear our acceptance of runway 35L and that our radio transmissions were being clipped at the beginning. We were then cleared the visual approach to [runway] 35L and landed uneventfully.

Narrative: Cleared the LDORA2 RNAV to DEN. Arrival and Runway 35L programmed and briefed. Initial Approach Controller gave us RWY 34R. First Officer asked if 35L was available and the reply was no due to traffic. We reprogrammed [Runway] 34R and briefed. Then; we switched to the Final Controller and were given an altitude and heading change. Controller asked if we would like RWY 35L. We replied yes and reprogrammed the FMC for landing [Runway] 35L. The previous altitude left us high and the Controller asked if we would like vectors to the east. We accepted vectors so we could get back on profile. We were then cleared to intercept the LOC. We intercepted the LOC for [Runway] 35L. We were then in VMC conditions and Controller asked if we had runway in sight. We were established on the LOC 35L and replied yes. The Controller then replied cleared for the visual 34R. The First Officer asked the Controller if they meant [Runway] 35L.
