Flight was on MEL for FMGC2 (flight management guidance computer). Prior to beginning descent FMGC1 failed; resulting in a FMGC dual failure. Followed sops; ATC vectored us for a visual approach. Flight landed without incident.

Title: A321 Captain reported losing FMGC1 after being dispatched with FMGC2 deferred inoperative.
Narrative: Flight was on MEL for FMGC2 (Flight Management Guidance Computer). Prior to beginning descent FMGC1 failed; resulting in a FMGC dual failure. Followed SOPs; ATC vectored us for a visual approach. Flight landed without incident.
