Narrative:

During aircraft pushback while awaiting clearance to start it felt as if the aircraft slid a little as if trying to turn on a painted line. Maintenance stopped the pushback and informed us over the intercom that our right wingtip had just made contact with the aircraft that had been parked behind us. After the pushback crew inspected the situation we were tugged back into the original parking spot.
