Narrative:
We were cruising in the clouds and received a lightening strike or static discharge. We discovered that our HF transmitters were inoperative. We detoured some storm cells before resetting cbs which restored our transmitters. I should have thought to reset the breakers to establish communication before detouring.

Title: ACR WDB LOST HF COM RADIOS IN TSTM ACTIVITY THEN MADE WX DIVERSION WITHOUT ADVISING ARTCC.
Narrative: WE WERE CRUISING IN THE CLOUDS AND RECEIVED A LIGHTENING STRIKE OR STATIC DISCHARGE. WE DISCOVERED THAT OUR HF XMITTERS WERE INOPERATIVE. WE DETOURED SOME STORM CELLS BEFORE RESETTING CBS WHICH RESTORED OUR XMITTERS. I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT TO RESET THE BREAKERS TO ESTABLISH COM BEFORE DETOURING.
