Narrative:

Descending on visual to runway 24. Flying north over mountain range after being cleared for the visual. Passing through 4000-ish down to 3100 (altitude at FAF) and GPWS alerted for terrain; pull up. It was dusk; we could see the outline of the terrain; and didn't expect the alert. Captain disconnected ap; complied with the commands; and then continued the descent to the FAF/approach.
