Narrative:

I was working sector 16 at ZKC. I descended an aircraft that was descending to FL350 from super high widebody transport was nebnd at FL330. I had to cross ZAU's boundary at FL270 so was going to descend light transport to FL330, go over the top of FL310 traffic on J80 so when aircraft came over on frequency I descended light transport to FL330 then realized that widebody transport was under him at FL330. I then climbed light transport back to FL350. Aircraft said that he had to descend before he could climb. At FL346 sep did not exist.
