Narrative:

I made a low approach at a private grass strip and as I was climbing out to return to ckb the engine started running rough. I was above route 50 east and afraid to try to go back to the private field, so I thought I would make a forced landing on route 50. When I was approximately 250' AGL the engine smoothed out, so I returned to 2500' MSL and followed route 50, then climbed to 3000' MSL and returned to ckb. I think the fuel might have had foreign materials in it from where the tanks had been resealed, or a plug fowled. I am getting a mechanic to check it out before I fly it again.
