Narrative:

Had VFR 'flight following' from oakland center. Was told that 3 mi ahead was restr airspace. Over camp roberts (is designated as such on chart) could not turn west due to clouds. Vectored by 'ATC' to east but still was over restr area for few mins. ATC did not say this was to be reported. I should have avoided the area since it was on the sectional chart. There was no danger. No military operations.
