Narrative:

Small aircraft was 30 south of atl climbing to 11000'. Traffic was pointed out by another controller level at 10000' navigating to columbus, GA. At this point I felt they were diverged and no problem existed. About 2 mins later I was going to switch small aircraft to atlanta center when I saw there was a problem and called the departure controller to see if he could turn his aircraft to avoid mine. He had already switched the aircraft to columbus approach.
