Clt has an inaccurate taxi diagram; coming in to ramp on november taxiway shows E13 to the right of north taxiway when E13 is actually to the left of november taxiway; which created some confusion. We failed to contact ramp immediately when entering their area of responsibility. We contacted the ramp at spot 9 after entering the ramp area at E13.
