Narrative:

On final we received a TCAS traffic alert at 1;500 feet. The alert showed traffic right behind us at 1;500 feet. The alert cleared and we continued. Tower frequency was very busy; but tower did not indicate any traffic issues in our proximity. At 800 feet we received a TCAS climb RA. The traffic showed within the aircraft symbol on the 5 mile scale. I rotated to the match the RA and initiated a missed approach. The RA resolved and we completed the missed approach and subsequent approach and landing uneventfully. There was apparently no conflicting traffic and the RA was a false indication.
