Narrative:

On arrival to lga on the milton 5 arrival, we were given delay vectors. After approximately 30 mins, the captain informed the controller that we were minimum fuel. The controller responded 'are you declaring an emergency.' we replied 'negative'. As we were turning final to runway 22 we heard the controller resequence another airplane because of a priority aircraft, that we assumed to be us. I feel that this confusion is caused by the controllers lack of familiarity with the aim.
