Narrative:

Danger at elko, nv. A crash of 2 aircraft will happen soon! Elko, nv, has an advisory frequency of 122.7, but no one to give advisory on the ground. Elko is a dangerous situation. A crash will take place elko is a special situation. A fuel stop by pilots not familiar with the airport, commercial traffic. A town at the end of the field. Commercial takeoff only to the west, no matter what the winds. A change in the advisory frequency. A closed FSS. The FSS that now advises elko, nv, gives winds some times and is not helpful. Commercial taking off on runway 23 and private landing on runway 05 is the worst part. Let the girl at the FBO at least call the runway advisory. Give winds to center. Help! Now! Not 6 mo. Most aircraft land runway 05 and takeoff runway 23 because of the field layout and the town location. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. I made numerous call attempts going into elko but no answer. FBO employee said they had no unicom no radio at all. Situation of aircraft coming straight in on runway 5 and then taking off on runway 5 west/O advisories other than plane to plane is extremely hazardous in my opinion. One ground person at elko said the city is attempting to force the FAA into providing a tower control.
